We are a well established European marketing agency with a healthy client base globally but with a strong desire to expand our North American client roster. We are seeking someone who is equally skilled at all facets of the sales cycle including generating leads, getting in the door, qualifying opportunities, closing deals and transitioning new clients to the account management team. We need an independent self-starter with a strong understanding of marketing services.

Pepper Global is a fun, fast-paced, agency environment that’s been delivering closed loop programs for our clients for over 10 years. This position will be located in Chicago office and will be part of the management team. As part of the management team, this person will be involved in all aspects of planning and driving the growth of the 4 year old, 20 person Pepper Chicago office. Responsibilities:

•Identifies and maintains sales leads and develops a list of prospects in territory.
•Develops sales plans for territory.
•Makes presentations to key decisions makers at prospective companies
•Manages entire sales cycle from identification through to close, including presentation, request for proposal responses, contract negotiations and transition to other departments for future servicing.
•Responsibility to provide regional input on sales strategy and implementation for Pepper.
•Independent management of end-to-end sales process for Pepper North America, including:
•Definition of target industries & companies for sales activities in alignment with Management team
•Identify opportunities, qualify leads, estimate efforts, provide quotations and close deals.
•Initiates the development of concepts / offerings in close interaction with Munich Global Sales team.
•Provides regular reports of sales funnel and progress to Chicago Management team.
•Client / prospect management & after sales / up-selling.
•Responsible for Marketing/PR plan and execution for lead generation.

Qualifications:

•5-10 years experience in similar position
•Proven track record of growing a small business
•Strong understanding of marketing services, ideally direct marketing.
•Ability to identify needs of prospects and offer / sell the right marketing solution to prospects
•Experience in IT industry a plus
•Independent self-starter
•Successful track record of strategic and tactical sales
•Outstanding communication skills
•Strong technical skills, particularly PowerPoint
