INDUSTRIAL FIELD SALES ENGINEER & TERRITORY MANAGER
THIS IS A RETAINED SEARCH
Technically oriented Industrial Sales-person needed to grow and further develop existing territory - Northern half of Texas. Position is now available due to promotion. $50000 - $80000 salary plus car and benefits.
RECRUITING PROFILE:
The successful candidate will possess 2 to 15 years of experience either:
>> as a successful Outside Industrial Sales-person experienced in selling technical products to manufacturing operations or
>> as a successful Inside Industrial Salesman definitely ready to make the transition to Outside Sales
>> or someone who is currently working technically in industry and involved in some capacity with instrumentation or mechanical and/or electrical process control equipment and now interested in moving into technical sales as the next step in their career.
Prefer experience in some way embracing either Life Sciences (such as Bio-pharm, Bio-tech) or Food & Beverage but other industrial related experience will also be considered. Current knowledge of and contacts in the territory is a big plus. Must possess a fire-in-the-belly desire to “win” and the drive to be successful. Possessing a long-term, relationship building, consultive style of selling (or mindset) is an asset. A BS in Engineering or Science is preferred but not required. A good solid mechanical aptitude is needed. Experience in fluid control, fluid prossessing or filtration of any kind would be a definite asset. Must reside within the territory described – no relocation.

Our long-term client is a well-established, privately held, large Regional Manufacturers' Rep and Stocking Distributor serving such markets as Pharmaceutical, Primary Metals, Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage, Power Generation, Chemical & Petrochemical, Veterinary Medicine and Wet Milling Industries among others. They are economically strong with a track record of growth averaging over 13% per year SINCE 1979. Recently they have doubled the warehousing capacity, added a separate Marketing Dept and are now constructing a new in-house Analytical and Measurement Lab. OVER 50% of the Salesmen in this position are $100K+ plus earners. Six of the seven DM’s have been promoted from this position.
