South Central Region

CLIENT PROFILE :
Our client is well-established, privately held and a leader in the Lubrication Management Business offering both services and products. They serve many, many industries such as Oil (Refining Petroleum Drilling), Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Wastewater, Chemical Processing, General Manufacturing, etc., etc.
This is a family owned company that values ethics, principles and competitiveness. They are very knowledgeable, professional in their approach and focused on the objectives. It is however a fast paced environment and sometimes youre faced with drinking from a fire-hose.
JOB SUMMARY :
Within a multistate region (south central), youll have the responsibility to develop and achieve the strategic goals that are reflective of the overall corporate objectives. You will develop the Business Plan and spearhead its implementation. The individual we seek will need to be a strong HUNTER finding the business opportunities and establishing the accounts. Subsequently you will be hiring people under you to do more FARMING of the accounts within a defined territory. Youll work with multiple types/sources to achieve the objectives end users, distributors, catalog/internet leads, and OEMs. Here is an opportunity to start out as the primary sales person with tremendous independence to facilitate the growth. Build the regional sales, manage the growth and develop a Team to bring about further penetration. This position offers base, plus bonus incentives and benefits. Reports to the Director of Sales.
QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW
We seek someone who knows they are an A player and has the track record of accomplishment to prove it. They should be competitive, confident and aggressive but not arrogant, overbearing or offensive. Should be comfortable in a tie while making a presentation to the GM but know their way around and at ease on the shop floor.
>> Must have 7 plus years of strong current INDUSTRIAL SALES EXPERIENCE. Prefer 10 or more. Best that it includes both product and service sales experience. While the customer base is broad, experience and contacts within the oil & gas industries would be of significant interest.
>> Experience including Asset and Maintenance Reliability is very much preferred. Specific knowledge of Lubrication Systems and Predictive Maintenance would be advantageous.
>> Must be self-motivated, independent and a take charge of the situation sort of person with an attitude of making it happen.
>> Must be willing to travel 60% which includes regular overnight.
>> Prefer current residence in or around Houston, New Orleans or Baton Rouge. If not in proximity to one of those locations then MUST already reside (order of priority) in TX, LA, OK, AR or possibly MS or AL and MUST have a rolodex of contacts in the regions.
>> Any applicable certifications such as MLT 1 is a plus. Need to be willing to learn and obtain industry certification.
>> A BS degree is preferred.
