PLANT ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING

related to signal transmission for data networking, industrial automation, enterprise, transportation, infrastructure,

THE POSITION: As the MAINTENANCE MANAGER you will be part of the Plant Staff of this 3-shift, highly automated 450 person plant reporting to the Plant Manager. In this role you will lead a team of 50 through 6 direct reports. In addition to the day-to-day plant engineering and maintenance engineering activities you will lead the transition from a break & fix practice to a more progressive preventative/predictive high reliability type of program and culture.

Specifically you'll be responsible for . . .

* Providing direction and guidance to the manufacturing and maintenance departments
* Driving engineering cost reduction, energy efficiency and world class predictive maintenance
* ISO Performance on maintenance requirements
* Maintain adherence to budget cost requirements
* Actively participating in daily lean management practices

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Haves:

* A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or manufacturing
* Minimum of ten years experience in plant engineering and maintenance and a minimum of three in a management role in a progressive manufacturing environment
* Experience transforming a maintenance organization to a strong preventative/predictive culture
* Solidly knowledgeable of the appropriate measurement and software tools
* Proven track record of delivering results in a manufacturing management role
* Thorough understanding of Lean principles and practices
* Willing to live in a low cost of living medium size city - population approximately 40,000
* Legally able to work in the USA without visa sponsorship


Special Notice Credentials (pluses, not requirements):

* prefer an engineering degree
* prefer Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
* have experience with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
* experience with extrusion and/or rotating equipment engineering
