PRODUCT LINE MANAGER
CUSTOMIZED FIBER OPTIC CABLING FOR TELECAST APPLICATIONS

related to signal transmission for data networking, industrial automation, enterprise, transportation, infrastructure,
professional audio and video and other specialty electronic markets. They are soon to be a $2B company with 7,000 employees and manufacturing capabilities in North America, Asia and Europe. Their market presence is truly global with strong brands and financial strength.
THE POSITION: As the PRODUCT LINE MANAGER you report to the VP & General Manager. In general you are responsible for ensuring the product revenue and profit growth are achieved for the Customized Fiber Optic Cables used for the Broadcast Industry and high speed cameras. You are charged with product line contribution and are the primary owner of product profitability. This includes complete responsibility for strategic product planning, coordinating new product introductions, and supporting current products to end of life. Support of current products will include content for
marketing collateral materials to assist sales management, technical operating knowledge, competitive analysis of similar
products, documentation for manuals and literature, and sales support at trade shows, or customer locations. The Product Manager’s focus is on increasing the gross margin and revenue of existing products and developing new products to drive future profitability and growth.
THIS IS A MARKETING POSITION - The Product Line Manager must possess a unique blend of business and analytical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The PM must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. PM must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, specifically in the area of product development engineering. They will work closely with Director of Product Development and Director of Product Design to define product release requirements as well as working with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Haves:
* EXPERIENCE IN PRODUCTS USED IN THE PROFESSIONAL VIDEO AND/OR BROADCAST/TELECAST HARDWARE INDUSTRY - FIBER OPTIC CABLING, CAMERAS, ETC
* A technical undergrad degree.
* Minimum of ten years of related experience relative to product and job function
* Strategic marketing experience - the ability to analyze products and markets and develop successful strategies
* Broadcast Market experience of 5 plus years
* Participation and Connection to industry specific organizations and social networks
* Experience in Trade Shows of 5 plus years
* Process and measurement oriented
* Willing to live in proximity to a major US metropolitan city
* Legally able to work in the USA without visa sponsorship
Special Notice Credentials (pluses, not requirements):
* prefer an engineering degree
* prefer an MBA
