INDUSTRIAL FIELD SALES ENGINEER - TERRITORY MANAGER - KANSAS CITY - Western MO & Eastern Kansas
THIS IS A COMPREHENSIVE AND RETAINED SEARCH
OUR CLIENT is a St. Louis headquartered 65-year old industrial stocking distributor of Process Heat Equipment and Industrial Process Controls/Instrumentation. Customer oriented, they sell solutions - that include component parts, systems and service. They have a strong Factory Trained Service Department offering 24-hour, round-the-clock response. Additionally there is a talented Project Engineering and Fabrication Group that has provided well over 2000 comprehensive solutions packages since 1992. Through a small acquisition of a company in Kansas City, they have gained a position in the Western MO and Eastern KS markets.
THE POSITION reports to the VP and Director of Sales. You will be called upon to drive the sales to a $5M+ level over the next five years while maintaining solid profitability. This includes sales toIndustrial Users, OEM's and Distributors.
The primary responsibilities are:
* all aspects contributing to the Territory Growth (north-western MO and Eastern Kansas through both aggressive new account development and prudent existing account management focused on Sales of Product/Solution
* profitability management
* involvement in promoting and boosting Service Sales
* leading the organization development and operation of this Kansas City based satellite office

CREDENTIALS & REQUIREMENTS -The successful candidate . . . .
* must possess a minimum of 5-years of successful industrial sales experience within the territory described. Documented success and maturity are more important than a specific number of years.
* must possess the INTELLIGENCE, the DRIVE and the ENERGY to make it happen
* must possess Leadership Qualities
* must be a self-starter, disciplined and have a Team perspective
* must be comfortable with hands-on factory floor time but able to makepresentations to the C-level corner office
* a four-year technical degree is preferred but not required. However a quick learner withstrong mechanical and electrical technical aptitude is a must
* must possess reasonable computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and some PC based CRM such as Goldmine or Act
* reside in the greater Kansas City metro area (MO or KS) - NO RELOCATION
