Job Description:

ITs a network Logo
 This is a 6 months contract opportunity at our customer site, a leading company in Houston, TX 77070.

Job Description:

Provide front-line reactive and proactive management for mission critical systems.
Provide support in a large HPUX/Linux operations.
excellent knowledge of clustering for HPUX/Linux ServiceGuard
excellent knowledge on I/O requirements
excellent knowledge of HP-UX and Linux Operating systems at least basic knowledge on Tru64, Open-VMS
good basic knowledge on databases (Oracle and SAP-Oracle) and recovery strategies
good knowledge on SAN concepts
good knowledge on fiber hardware components and SAN file system management
good knowledge on the software components for Disk Arrays and Tape Libraries. (CommandView, Secure Manager, Business Copy, Secure Path…)
excellent knowledge on High Availability and Performance in HPUX and Linux
good knowledge on I/O requirements for server and/or application operation
knowledge and understanding of data bases and other complex applications
ITSM knowledge
practice in change management
experience with big and critical environments and complex HPUX/Linux area

Additional Information:

12 hour shifts 3 days on 4 days off 4 days on 3 days off, weekends included--NIGHT SHIFT
