This is a 6 months contract opportunity at our customer site, a leading company in Colorado Springs, CO 80919-2398.
Job Description:
Deploys and supports software source code management systems (SCM) in a process-oriented software development environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with migration of code management system from ClearCase to Subversion.
Once deployed, provides ongoing user support in the Subversion environment.
Assists with development of end-to-end software development workflow that balances the strengths of the Subversion tool, the needs of firmware developers and process compliance.
Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting Subversion-related tools.
Provides assistance and routine consultation to users in the Subversion environment. Applies generally accepted standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Acts as liaison with software vendors with particular emphasis on problem diagnosis and resolution.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus 7-9 years experience in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of CollabNet/Subversion, GNUMake and Perl.
Recent experience with mulit-site development.
Strong communication skills including working directly with software engineers at multiple sites (both US and international) and presenting complex material to a variety of audiences.
Well-developed understanding and appreciation of a process-oriented software development lifecycle. ClearCase experience beneficial.
Embedded firmware development experience helpful.
Storage industry experience helpful.
