This is a 6 months contract opportunity at our customer site, a leading company in Houston, TX 77070.
Job Description:
Designs and develops computer programs that automate specific business processes.
Analyzes, defines, and documents system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program. Trains end users or technical support staff to use programs. Analyzes, installs, and tests upgrades of externally developed application programs. Monitors performance of programs after implementation.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced computer knowledge and experience (to be determined based on specific assignment
Technical skills required:
- Experience with Oracle 9i, PLSQL, procedures, triggers, etc. from application design perspective.
- Visual Studio . Net, C#, VB, XML.
- Visual Studio 6, VB, ASP.
- SOAP protocol, web services and IIS.
Technical skills desired:
- Basic technology experience in Networking, servers, desktops, Microsoft OS and browsers.
- Knowledge of e-business architecture/technology.
- SQLServer including 2005.
- BizTalk Server and EDI protocols.
Other:
- Communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience in all phases of the software development process including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and product documentation.
- Clear and creative thinker, with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Self learner willing and able to acquire new skills and technologies as needed.
- Ability to keep up with a fast-paced team.
