Media Sales Consultant

Location: CA-LOS ANGELES / CA-IRVINE / CA-SAN DIEGO / CA-VAN NUYS / CA-FRESNO / CA-BAKERSFIELD & More

Job Description:

-Cold calling on small and medium companies in the field for new business opportunities (This represents 70% of your field sales and activities and 20-25 field cold calls per day).

-Meeting with and closing new business with existing clients (This represents 30% of your field sales time).

-Schedule 15-20 appointments per week

-Close 8 plus deals per month



Typical Day:

-Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

-8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. are traditionally phone prospecting and appointment preparation activities.

-10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. are activities involving field calls & appointments

-4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. are activities including phone prospecting, management feedback, and preparation.

-Each district is unique, but weekly schedules include a morning district wide sales meeting, one day per week of team training and an individual meeting weekly with your sales manager. This could include a field ride with that manager for a day.



Compensation:

Base: $ 32,200 (Total Base and expenses = $32,800!)

Expenses: $8, 800

Commission: at quota $ 30, 000 annually

1st year expectation: $ 65,000

2nd year expectation: $ 80,000

3rd year expectation: $ 100,000



(Commission Pay Outs)

3-4% existing client renewal

6-8% existing client renewal with an increase in volume

11-17% new business

*Pay out percentages are unique to each individual market

Career Path:

Account Representatives are traditionally eligible for promotion in 12 to 24 months. Establishing a consistent track record for reaching & exceeding quota will lead to two career paths… senior sales & sales management



-Senior Sales: Sr. Sales Reps earn an increase in salary, commissions and bonuses.

They receive several important benefits once becoming a Sr. Rep:

1. Added tenure equals a bigger book of business. This translates to spending more time making warm calls to renew/up sell existing business and a little less time on new biz.

2. They receive higher profile accounts to secure, up sell, and manage which result in bigger commissions.

3. They receive additional referrals from an increased in size account base.

4. Renewals = residual commission every time you renew an account!



-Sales Management:

Associate Sales Mgr- income ranges from $75K - $90K. Manages 3-4 reps.

District Sales Mgr- income ranges from $100K+. Manages 8-12 reps

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Preferred

You will spend most of your day out in the field 80% and 20% in the office @ meetings.
